Jayanth met Jane Austen in the middle of 2022, at the age of thirty-seven. Having never written a page of fiction, he finished his first novel within a year. Insults came out in December 2023, followed by Compromise(s), Comeuppance, and the three volumes of By Patience and by Paper.

He is an IT professional and a meditation enthusiast, and lives with his family.
